NK League U14 Championship" hosted by the Korean Professional Federation.
Ulsan U14 beat Jeonbuk Hyundai's U14 Geumsan Middle School 1-0 in the final match held at Cheonan Stadium on the 22nd.
Ulsan's Jung Woo-jin scored the team's first and final goal in the 32nd minute of the second half to put an end to the tournament. This is the first time Ulsan has won the "K League U14 Championship" hosted by the Korea Professional Football Federation.
Song Ji-hwan, the captain and defender of the Ulsan U15 team, won the best player award, while Yang Min-hyuk, the coach who led the team to the championship, won the best leader award.
Song Ji-hwan, the team's captain, said about the victory, "We played as the main players without seniors. At first, I thought, "Can I do it?" but as I took each step, I ended up lifting the trophy. It was a competition that gained more meaning and confidence than a championship cup."
Meanwhile, the "2024 GROUND.N K League Youth Championship" began with the U12&11 (elementary) Championship in Yeongdeok County, North Gyeongsang Province from July 12 to 18, followed by the U18&17 (high school) Championship in Cheonan City, South Chungcheong Province from July 13 to 25 and the U15&14 (middle school) Championship in Cheonan City, South Chungcheong Province from Aug. 11 to Aug. 23.
