The Togo Traveller Declaration is a statement that was initially put forward in 2021 by the Togo Travel Association (TOGA). The aim of the document was to promote and stimulate travel to Togo. Its main focus is to encourage local tourism development by improving standards and creating more destination-based activities. It specifically calls for support from the global community in order to aid the small coastal country become a tourist hot spot. Many governments and agencies have already lined up behind this endeavor including the United Nations, Department of Tourism, and also the government of Nairobi, Kenya.
